Warrants Executed as Part of Operation Conyay |

Dear Resident,
Building on intelligence received by Police over the summer, officers from West Mercia Police have executed two warrants as part of Operation Conyay, an ongoing initiative aimed at tackling drug-related crime and keeping communities safe. The warrants were carried out at addresses on Weyman Road and Chestnut Grove, Ludlow resulting in the seizure of quantities of suspected Class A and Class B drugs, along with a number of offensive weapons. As a result of the activity, one individual was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and possession of an offensive weapon and remains under investigation. A second individual will be dealt with through an out-of-court resolution in relation to offences identified during the operation. Operation Conyay forms part of the force's commitment to disrupting criminal activity linked to the supply and use of illegal drugs, which can often be associated with violence, exploitation and wider anti-social behaviour within communities. Inspector Damien Kelly said: "These warrants demonstrate our continued commitment to tackling drug-related crime and removing harmful substances and weapons from our communities. Information provided by residents plays a vital role in helping us identify those involved in criminal activity, and we would encourage anyone with concerns about drug dealing or related issues in their area to report them to us." West Mercia Police continues to work with partners and local communities to target those involved in criminality and ensure neighbourhoods remain safe places to live, work and visit.
Anyone with information about suspected drug activity can report it online via the West Mercia Police website, by calling 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. For more information, please contact a member of Ludlow SNT on ludlow.snt@westmercia.police.uk
Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Kind regards, PCSO Beth Francis 40287 | ||
